ARISAEMA 2023 I BECAME A NATIONAL PLANT COLLECTION HOLDER. I PROBABLY NOW HAVE ABOUT 600 MATURE AND YOUNG ARISAEMA. AN OBSESSION GONE NUTS. WITH MORE ON ORDER. NEXT YEAR I INTEND TO START SELLING.

The pictures below are all different trays of Arisaema and not one taken from different angles.
Above: 2022 seed from my one of my first Arisaema: A. ciliatum.

A. intermedium offsets from 2022. There are 3 more in the pot that have decided not to grow this year but look healthy enough.
A. kiushianum
Left sown 2023.
Right sown 2022. As the Arisaemas mature the leaves look more like their parents. This could take 2 to 4 years. This will vary even from seed collected at the same time from the same Arisaema.

LEFT: PICTURE TAKEN IN 2023. ARISAEMA GROWING WITH A COLOCASIA. SEEDLINGS THAT I THOUGHT HAD DIED THROUGH DAMPING OFF. I HAD REUSED THE COMPOST THEY WERE IN IN 2021. THERE WERE 24 SEEDLINGS IN THE POT IN 2021.
A. flavum sown 17 Feb 22. They in a very large pot outside. In the shade of a 6' Euonymus.

Left: A. consanguineum 'perfect wave'. Picture taken 5 Dec23. I have never had Arisaema grow in the autumn or indeed have seed germinate. This is a first.
OLDER ARISAEMA
A. triphyllum with seed.
A. costatum with companions including weeds. It was purchased in March 2021.
A. consanguineam kelung insulare with seed.
A. consangiuneum perfect wave.
NEW SEED PURCHASED 2023: consanguineum giant form ordered 13 Sept and 2 germinated 12 Oct, triphyllum starburst, yunnanense, griffithii black vinyl and limbatum.

I had decided to leave the seeds in the fruiting spikes until the spring but some have been going moldy so have sown them without washing them.
