THIS GAILLARDIA IS UNUSUAL WITH IT'S WHIRLYGIG APPEARANCE.

ABOVE IS CANNA CANNOVA F1 YELLOW. SURPRISSINGLY IT WAS THE FIRST CANNA TO FLOWER AND IT SPENT IT'S TIME IN SHADE NEXT THE WALL IN THE BACKGROUND.
CANNA STUTTGART. A FINE EXAMPLE. IT DOES NOT APPEAR POSSIBLE TO PREVENT THE BROWNING OF THE LEAVES.

FAST FORWARD FROM JUNE  THE SINGLE STEM ABOVE THIS ALOCASIA MACRORRHIZA TRANSFORMS INTO THE MULTI-STEMMED BEAUTY TO THE RIGHT.
USUALLY IT HAS A COUPLE OF STEMS. MAYBE THE UNUSUALLY HOT SUMMER GAVE IT A BOOST.
COLOCASIA BLACK STEM TARO. THE LARGER LEAF IS BURGANDY STEM.
Two pink Phlox either side of a Robinia Tree. Just between the Phlox are 3 Platycodon. BELOW IN JULY 
THE COLOCASIA BURGANDY STEM POPPED UP HEAR A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. STAYS OUT WITH NO PROTECTION. IT DOES STAY QUITE SMALL.
