ARISAEMA 2023 I BECAME A NATIONAL PLANT COLLECTION HOLDER. I PROBABLY NOW HAVE ABOUT 600 MATURE AND YOUNG ARISAEMA. AN OBSESSION GONE NUTS. WITH MORE ON ORDER. NEXT YEAR I INTEND TO START SELLING.
Early 2017 I started to help Fay in her garden. The area you see now was not viseable due to thirty feet of growth. Also hidden was a shed and white wrought iron furniture. The pictures start this year 2018.
Fay and I started work on the side garden which has been cleared and planted up. More work is still needed to clear the over hanging vegetation ie a tree full of ivy which will come down on it's own eventually.
One of many tree roots I have dug up.
The area here will be a pond due to be finished spring 2019
Anyone passing along Crown Hill will not appreciate the amount of space that there is behind the cottage.

APRIL 2019. WORK CONTINUES
A MASSIVE CANOPY OF IVY WITH YEARS OF DECAYING PLANT MATERIAL. SURPRISINGLY WHEN I CUT THE TREE TRUNK TOP OFF YOU SEE ON THE RIGHT IT WAS NOT SUPPORTING THE CANOPY. ANOTHER TREE JUST OUT OF SHOT WAS SUPPORTING ALL OF THE WEIGHT.
NOW ON THE GROUND. BELOW.
19 MARCH 2019
TREE TRUNK LAYING ON THE GROUND WAS SUPPORTING ALL OF THE WEIGHT. THE IVY HAD GROWN AROUND THE TRUNK DOUBLING IT'S GIRTH.
THE TRUNK IS ABOUT TEN FEET LONG.
LET THERE BE LIGHT. VIEW FROM THE KITCHEN WINDOW.

JULY 2019. ALMOST FINISHED. JUST AQUATIC PLANTS TO ADD AND OF COURSE MORE WATER TO ADD. IN ADDITION FAY, HER NIECE AND NEPHEW SIGNED THE CONCRETE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE POND. ALSO TWO HAND PRINTS ADORN THE POND.
